Pair of cocktail chairs, Poland, 1950’S

These bucket armchairs were manufactured in Poland during the 1950s. They feature an upholstered, shell-shaped backrest and prominent wooden armrests, all set on rounded beech wood legs.
The armchairs are characterized by their beautiful, round, slightly “domed” backrest, which harmonizes with the upward-sweeping armrests.
Notably, they are larger than typical cocktail chairs, a somewhat unusual feature for this style.
Both chairs have undergone wood restoration and received new upholstery in a subtly lustrous velvet fabric.
