Description
Vintage Sideboard by Bytomskie Fabryki Mebli, Poland, 1960’s
Mid-Century Modern sideboard manufactured in the 1960s by Bytomskie Fabryki Mebli. It is part of the “Syrius” set (type 1050), perfectly showcasing the spirit of Polish modernist design.
The case is finished in walnut veneer with a beautiful grain pattern, highlighted by a symmetrical book-matched layout. The base and load-bearing structural elements are made of solid beechwood, crafted into turned, tapered legs.
The layout features a four-drawer section on the left and a storage space with veneered sliding doors on the right. Inside the cabinet, there is a removable short shelf, allowing the interior to be adjusted for larger items, including vinyl records.
The door fronts feature original recessed metal handles, characteristic of the “Syrius” series.
The piece has undergone a complete restoration.
